Meet the Team

Our Staff Team

  • Steve Reimer

    Senior Minister

Steve has lived in Stanhope Gardens since 2008. He leads our church and staff team, and longs for people to know Jesus. He enjoys biryani, his vertical garden, and doing parkrun every Saturday - no matter where he is (but he’s not a runner).

  • Sam Russell

Assistant Minister - Serving and Youth

Sam became a Christian as a teenager, and ever since he's had a passion for helping other people meet and follow Jesus. Sam is married to Sophia and they have two children, Nathan and Lucy. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, long walks, cheering on McLaren in the F1 world championship, and drinking great coffee.

  • Jeremy Smith

Assistant Minister - Children and Families

Jeremy grew up in Japan, is married to Felicity, and they have two young boys, Albie and Charlie. Jeremy loves to see people grow in their knowledge and love of Jesus. He enjoys spending his spare time with his family, and following all kinds of sports, particularly the NBA.

  • Rachel Husking

    Sunday Gatherings

Rachel moved to Sydney from Mississippi in 2019 and married Jarrod, an Aussie, in 2021. Overseeing our Sunday gatherings, Rachel loves to see our hearts captured by God's love. While away from work or study, Rachel loves being with friends, drinking good coffee, and discovering new parts of God's beautiful creation.

  • Alison Atack

    Ministry Support Coordinator

Alison loves supporting the ministry work at church that is helping people know the light and hope of Jesus. Alison is married to Jeff, and they have 4 teenage and young adult kids. In her spare time, Alison loves reading, going on walks, lunching with friends, travelling, and family movie nights.

Anglicare Village Chaplains

  • David Traill

    Anglicare Village Chaplain

David seeks to grow the opportunities to meet with, listen to, and get to know people. David’s journey as a Christian has been greatly influenced by the love and care of other people, and he seeks to encourage this amongst people and to build relationships and care for others as a Chaplain. He is married to Janelle, and they have three children.

  • Katie McDonald

    Anglicare Village Chaplain

Katie has been a Christian for nearly two thirds of her life, working in Christian ministry in various ways since then. Katie works part time as a Village Chaplain at The Ponds Retirement Village. Her greatest delight is to teach the Bible and encourage people towards the hope that is found in Christ. An endless cup of tea (in the finest china) on a secluded beach (preferably in NZ), with a good book (with no interruptions), is her idea of bliss!
